Studying fine art allows you to develop your creativity by exploring traditional and modern art in settings including practical workshops, lectures and seminars, group tutorials, exhibitions and through independent study. You’ll work on your technical, creative and critical artistic skills, learning practical abilities and theoretical knowledge, helping to set you up for a career in contemporary art. During your course, you could focus on a range of disciplines, including drawing, painting, sculpture installation, photography, video and performance, and the course may include opportunities to interact with the wider art world through work placements and portfolio displays. When you graduate, you’ll have the choice of going into further study, employment or becoming an independent artist in your chosen craft.
