What students say about business

So far, this University has treated me incredibly well. The staff have been amazing and each accommodation is in a safe place, even off campus. I’d definitely say that if you prefer a quiet place but still want a city, come here. It’s one of the calmest places I’ve ever lived and it has around 300 coffee shops so you’ll always have a place to study. Just be mindful of the busses, I lived in Stockbridge for the first semester and they were irregular. Either they don’t come on time or they don’t come at all, specifically to South Bank (so you’ll have to walk to Westgate Leisure Centre) but if it’s nice out, the walk through town is a lot better.

What students say about business

The university's name and reputation itself is beneficial in global recognition. Not only that, its career advice department is good and provides the necessary guidance in looking for opportunities in the market. They have a specific course that is compulsory for grading and is made a part of academic study, which is about professional development, creating a good Resume, creating a good network, social media and all necessary steps in order to increase our chances of securing a job. The University is located in the center of London making it easier for everyone to travel to. The courses are well structured and align perfectly with equipping the students with necessary skills for the program. The teaching methods follow a PEC model which is Prepare, Engage and consolidate, which enables learning throughout the week instead of restricting to just the class. Another advantage is that in class they are able to take a learn by experiencing, engaging method. LinkedIn Learning is also made free for students for the entire study time, providing them with opportunities to learn from the industry experts. The library service is also amazing with both physical and e books readily available. The only thing I would say that lacks is that there is no extracurricular activity for students to do if they have a 2 hours break. It would be best to have a few indoor games.

What students say about business

The University is set in an area of Glasgow that has a magical feeling about it. Knowing you are walking the same paths as some of the most influential characters that have helped shape the world we live in today is an honour and privilege. It is inspiring and can be a motivator to think of the former students who studied at this amazing institution. I am often overcome with imposter syndrome, though I quickly remind myself how hard I worked to obtain a place at the University of Glasgow. The sheer size of the university can be challenging, especially if you only have a short period of time to get from one end of the campus to the other. So for those who may have mobility issues I think having electric buggies for those less able to get around would be helpful to them.

What students say about business

What makes my uni a great place to study is their student support. They try to help their students in any way possible to ensure that students get the best out of their education. I think it would be better if the university put more effort into societies and clubs such as sporting clubs and teams . It would help the university to have more of a community and really showcase other talents other than what students already study on their courses. My university do have societies and some sporting teams, however some of the societies don’t run anymore and it’s not made to be as big as it was when I first heard about it before I joined uni. I think it’s important to have that feel of community and university culture and to also show the inclusiveness of different cultures, groups and activities in which people associate them selves with.

The university offers the comprehensive support services including counseling, career guidance, and academic assistance. Moreover, it also has modern facilities. The Northumbria University boasts the sate of the art facilities, that includes well equipped laboratories, library, and study spaces, enhancing the learning experience. Finally the most attractive about Northumbria University for me is that it has endorsed academic excellence and has got many industry connections. Northumbria University is known for its high quality teaching, research and strong academic programs. The university is collaborated with industry partners, providing students with valuable networking opportunities and real world experiences. In my opinion, Northumbria could be improved by strengthening more in career services and introducing more innovative teaching methods. University should develop stronger partnership with employers and industries to provide students with more internship and job opportunities. It should also explore more innovative teaching methods, including online learning tools to enhance engagement and learning outcomes for students.
