Studying visual arts

As a visual arts student, you’ll be studying how visual arts such as film, photography, painting and more interact with society and culture. You’ll be considering the history of visual art and how it has evolved in response to society, or how society has evolved in response to art. You may be able to study visual arts as a joint honours degree with other subjects, often in the humanities.
