Our BSc Transport Management course is offered as either a three year, or four year course with integrated placement year. During the course you will examine the economic, operational, societal and environmental issues related to the transport and distribution industries. In addition to gaining a detailed knowledge and understanding of these, you will also acquire the professional, academic and management skills necessary to enter any sector of the industry and to move between sectors during your career. Your management skills will also prepare you for a large number of alternative graduate jobs.Transport and distribution are of crucial importance to our economy and society, and are being brought sharper into focus with issues such as congestion and public transport in the news virtually every day. This course uses examples, illustrations, visits and case studies from the transport and distribution industries. Your studies will incorporate all the relevant management skills: accounting, marketing, human resources and operations management. All are set within the context of the transport related industries, including passenger and freight modes. Your business skills will also be enhanced by courses such as economics, data analysis, operations research, computing and information management.We developed strong partnerships with industry, our Engineering Systems and Management group offers programmes which are tailored to suit the industrial environment. This focus allows our graduates to build skills which are essential to industry, moulding them into highly employable industry ready graduates.Key course benefits:- This programme is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT). With additional professional experience after graduation, you will be eligible for Chartered Fellow Membership (FCILT).- Our Transport Management graduates earn £42,000 on average five years after graduation.
