Wiltshire College & University Centre offers a wide variety of employability-focused degree courses. These are validated by some of the UK’s top universities such as Bournemouth and Oxford Brookes.

Courses cover areas like agriculture, life sciences, creative arts, teaching, engineering and business. Several courses can be studied on a part-time basis.
All courses are vocational where students learn on the ground through work experience and industry placements. As a result, 96% of graduates go onto employment, further study or training.

Students are taught by lecturers who are highly qualified experts in their fields. Teaching takes place in inclusive environments that encourage self-directed investigation as well as guided learning. Each learner is assigned a tutor who provides extra academic support throughout the course.
Before they can graduate, all students must complete a work placement of at least two weeks. Placement staff assess performance and ensure that everyone gets the most out of their industry experiences.

The accommodation team ensures that the location is safe and secure. They host fun enrichment activities for all to get involved in.
Rooms and facilities
There are 80 student rooms on the Salisbury campus and 145 on the Lackham campus, with disabled units available. These feature a bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk and wifi. Some come with an en-suite bathroom that has a toilet, shower and washbasin. Price options include professional cleaning. Meal plans are also available.

Each campus is packed full of specialist facilities that benefit students from different subject areas. For instance, the Castle Combe Centre is dedicated to motorsport engineering, with a seven-car workshop, engine and machine workshop, CAD engineering and 3D printers and a wind tunnel.
The Lackham campus, where land-based courses take place, is set among 1,600 acres of countryside. It features working farms and an animal centre with animals such as raccoons, chinchillas, snakes, birds, fish and much more.
The Salisbury campus underwent a £14 million redevelopment to refresh teaching facilities and expand its course offerings. It’s home to creative studios and suites, professional broadcast equipment, a student-run restaurant, darkrooms, 3D workshop areas, IT facilities, construction environments, motor vehicle workshops and more.

The Lackham campus, for example, is highly regarded for its agricultural and land-based study offerings, and the Castle Combe centre was the first trackside centre for motorsport engineering in the UK.
The College’s student union is active, inclusive and supportive. It’s made up of a team of elected student officers who work hard to ensure that the student voice is listened to. All students become part of the union when they join the college. They also have the opportunity to apply to be part of the team.

Alongside their studies, students can enjoy the Wiltshire College Academy of Sport. All full-time courses at the College include invaluable work experiences. These ensure that students can develop their skills and industry knowledge to prepare for future careers. A dedicated placement officer supports students in finding suitable experiences, which could involve working with a local employer or on a community project, for example.

As well as providing you with opportunities to develop academically and professionally, you'll have a wide range of clubs and societies to join. You'll be able to pick up a new hobby and make loads of new friends by joining some of the clubs and societies on offer at Wiltshire College and University Centre.
The world is your oyster! Of course, the exact options open to you will depend on which subject you choose to study. Employers often look to hire graduates, so you can be sure that your degree will give you a wider range of employment opportunities.
No matter what degree you choose, however, you'll have option of going on to further study. If you want to keep studying, your undergraduate degree will enable you to go on to a master's degree or even a PhD.
If you opt to live in uni halls, you'll benefit from free WiFi and all-inclusive rent. Rent for uni halls also includes security and maintenance, so you can be sure you'll be well-looked after. There are several accessible rooms available, which are adapted for disabled students.
Halls also have communal areas such as kitchen facilities where you can meet your flatmates over a cup of tea. You'll also have access to dining facilities where you can share a meal with other students in your accommodation.
