The University of Hertfordshire offers degrees with a strong career focus, designed to prepare students for the modern workplace. Courses are designed in collaboration with employers, with students having access to up-to-date facilities and real-world experiences that prepare them for the careers and industries they’ll work in after graduation.
The university offers hundreds of undergraduate degree courses, spanning a wide range of exciting and innovative subject areas. Most courses have work experience and internships built into the module structure, and many offer options to spend three months, a whole semester or even an entire year studying abroad at one of the university’s partnership institutions around the world. GET PROSPECTUSSpecific academic entry requirements depend on the subject chosen. Offers are typically given using the UCAS points system, or equivalent grade scores for international applicants. Contextual offers are available across all undergraduate courses. A contextual offer is a reduction of up to one grade below the standard entry requirements, equivalent to 8 UCAS points.

Students must also demonstrate English language proficiency. At undergraduate level, the minimum requirement is an overall IELTS score of 6.0 (with no band score below 5.5), or an equivalent qualification.

The University of Hertfordshire is dedicated to providing a superb range of support services to all students, designed to make the university experience as stress-free as possible, and to help students settle into their new home.
The student wellbeing team are friendly and approachable and offer a number of specialist services including mental health support, free and confidential counselling, and disability and health related guidance. Counselling services are provided in both individual and group session formats, and the university has developed an online peer support network which is accessible remotely from anywhere in the world.
The university also provides financial advice services, international student services, specialist mentorship and tuition for those with disabilities, as well as a multi-faith chaplaincy to provide spiritual guidance for a range of beliefs. There is a childcare service for students with children under the age of five.
The student support centre can also provide online advice relating to bursaries, scholarships and accommodation.

Herts Law Clinic operates in conjunction with leading law firms to improve access to justice, providing free legal advice to the local community. Engineering
Renowned for its automotive excellence, Herts is home to UH Racing, the UK’s most decorated Formula Student team of all time. This involves the design and construction of single-seater petrol, electric and hydrogen powered race cars which compete in the UK Formula Student Competition.

As well as personalising your course through optional modules, you may have the chance to do a work placement during your studies. Developing your professional skills through work placements is a great way to add to your CV and boost your employability.
If you want a job you love (and who doesn't?), getting a job in a field you're passionate about is a great place to start. By studying a subject you really enjoy, you'll be qualified for a range of jobs relating to that subject, which you'll hopefully love.
For those who aren't ready to give up on education after an undergraduate degree, you'll have the opportunity to progress to postgraduate study such as a master's or even a PhD.
