GET PROSPECTUSEntry requirements vary from course to course at the University of Gloucestershire. For the 2024/25 academic year, they are usually within the range of 96 – 136 UCAS tariff points for an undergraduate honours degree.
As well as the course specific UCAS tariff requirements, UK applicants are normally required to have the following:
For some courses (especially in creative subjects), students may also be expected to attend an interview as part of the application process. In these instances, students will be invited to interview after they have applied to university, but before an offer is extended.
If an applicant doesn’t meet the required UCAS tariff points needed to study their course, their application may still be considered, in line with the university’s procedures.
English language requirements
International students may need to prove their English language proficiency. For most undergraduate degrees, students must have a minimum overall IELTS score of 6.0, with no band score lower than 5.5, or an equivalent qualification.

UoG’s halls of residence offer the best of both worlds, giving freedom and independence, with assistance from the residential support team close at hand. Most rooms are en-suite and 2024/25 prices range from £140 to £224 per week, including utility bills, internet and basic contents insurance.

University of Gloucestershire students benefit from a range of support services and resources to help them get the most out of their study experience.
Academic and career
Students are appointed their own personal tutor throughout their degree who, together with the Your Future Plan team, provide individual support and help to prepare students for their future careers.
Careers consultants run free regular workshops on all aspects of career development, while study support from the student achievement team includes workshops, one-to-one appointments, and online resources to ensure students achieve the grades they deserve.
Health and well-being
Student Helpzones provide the first port of call for information about every aspect of student life on all three campuses.
Trained counsellors listen and help students to manage the pressures of university life. They can support students with mental health or wellbeing issues through one-to-one sessions, workshops, and other resources. Support is also available, completely confidentially, for students with disabilities and additional learning needs.
The chaplaincy team is available for students of all faiths and none. Each campus has a welcoming faith space where students can drop in for tea or coffee or find a quiet place to sit.

The university has been training teachers since 1847 and has been rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted in primary and secondary school training (2015). The University of Gloucestershire Students’ Union exists to ensure all students have an incredible university experience. A registered charity led by students, for students, it offers an abundance of opportunities to get involved in student life.

Students can get involved in over 60 clubs and societies at UoG, offering a great way to meet other students, and make firm friends.

Students can also join a number of sports clubs.

You'll be shocked by the number of clubs and societies on offer at University of Gloucestershire. There's something for everyone! As well as being able to pick different clubs and societies, most courses let you choose modules at different points through your degree.
As well as personalising your course through optional modules, you may have the chance to do a work placement during your studies. Developing your professional skills through work placements is a great way to add to your CV and boost your employability.
If you want a job you love (and who doesn't?), getting a job in a field you're passionate about is a great place to start. By studying a subject you really enjoy, you'll be qualified for a range of jobs relating to that subject, which you'll hopefully love.
For those who aren't ready to give up on education after an undergraduate degree, you'll have the opportunity to progress to postgraduate study such as a master's or even a PhD.
