Bangor is a lovely place to study, and has a healthy academic/student life balance.
Best aspect is the students and professors, definitely, and the worst aspect is when there's lackluster support from the University administration.
It was convenient as an international student, but private accommodation was just cheaper.
They have many socials which students can attend every week and student support team is really kind. Especially, international staffs are nice and try to help international students a lot.
There are seminars to communicate with many students is helpful to know various ideas.
It takes almost 10minutes to go to university. There are many rooms and markets so it's easy to meet people and to buy groceries.
The location is the real star point here. Situated in North Wales between Eryri’s stunning mountain ranges, students here have the best shot at living life to the fullest. The student union benefits this in as many ways as they can, which is also a massive benefit. The facilities and buildings let themselves down slightly. Most of my lecture rooms are more like classrooms. Whilst they feel underwhelming, the views from the windows are wonderful
My course is wonderful. The practical elements are incredible opportunities, from canoeing in scotland to paddling the Menai Straits just outside our lecture buildings. When choosing a university, I didn’t particularly want to work too hard. This course is perfect for more practical learners
Great value considering you get free gym membership for the year! Close to everything, and security available 27/7
Great place

The significance of the adage "prevention is better than cure" continues to escalate, particularly with the growing impact of multi-morbidity and preventable chronic conditions on populations. The urgency and necessity of prioritizing illness prevention are heightened in the face of these challenges. Prevention, in this context, is not just the absence of illness but the cultivation of personal resources to foster good mental and physical health, aiming to maintain people's well-being, happiness, and independence. It involves addressing issues at their roots, concentrating on sustaining health rather than only addressing illness when it arises. Moreover, effective prevention extends beyond the realm of health and social care, recognizing that numerous factors influencing good health exist outside their direct control. For prevention to succeed on a societal scale, there must be a pervasive awareness of and commitment to health equity within healthcare provision. The Prevention, Population Health, and Leadership (Blended Learning) MSc program aspire to cultivate leaders in health and social care capable of steering innovation within their organizations. This comprehensive training equips participants with the tools and knowledge to formulate, implement, and assess an inclusive vision for their organizations, drawing on the latest research in preventative health, equity, and leadership theory. The curriculum also provides an opportunity to design and conduct research, applying findings within the workplace to instigate positive change. Through a combination of workshops, lectures, and supported assessments, participants are empowered to foster a collaborative culture within their organizations. This culture aims to enhance the collective workforce's capacity to effectively realize the goals of "A Healthier Nation." The emphasis on leadership, research, and practical application distinguishes this program, positioning graduates to make meaningful contributions to the proactive promotion of health and well-being in society.
Coming to the accommodation facilities it is top ranked in UK. There are cafes, gym, common rooms, and shop at the site. It is very calm and quite atmosphere. Security is 100 % guaranteed there is also 24/7 security are there.
Facilities are good and locations around Bangor is amazing but Bangor as a city is underwhelming.
Great field trips and lectures, probably one of the best universities to do my course
Generally very good quality accommodation and was easy to move in and live by myself for the first time
The location is the main driving point for me as it is right on the coast but still only 20 minutes bus ride from the national park full of places to explore. However, it is still a small town and alot of the time there is not too much to do within the town, meaning a train must be caught to do stuff.
Alot of flexibility when it comes to self study and how the modules are taught and lecturers, are for the most part, easy to get into contact with
Great experience with my accommodation in first year, right next to everything needed from sports fields to bars to shops. N/a
