Open days are brilliant for finding out if a university is your cup of tea. Since year 13 students need to have their final choices sorted by the application deadline in January, a lot of unis will host open days in October to give you a chance to visit and see what it’s like on campus. There’s also a half term break in October, which is handy for heading off to open days.
