All students can take part in the Bangor Employability Award, a comprehensive online course that can be worked through at any pace, taking students through all the steps they need to take to explore, prepare and apply for their dream career. Most of Bangor’s undergraduate courses include opportunities for students to complete work placements. Students can choose either a two-week work placement in their second year or a voluntary work placement year, taken between the second and third year of their degree. Most undergraduate courses also include opportunities to study abroad for either a semester, a short period over the summer, or, in many cases, a full year. After successfully completing a year abroad or a placement year, students can add ‘with International Experience’ or ‘with Placement Year’ to their degree's award title.

Students receiving the Bangor Bursary from the UK (excluding Wales) can receive up to £3,000 in extra financial support.
Merit Scholarship
£3,000 is available to students who excel in the university's annual Entrance Scholarships examinations.
Sports Scholarship
£3,000 is available for those displaying excellence in a chosen sport, or with the potential to do so.
International Merit Scholarship
All self-funding international students will be eligible for a scholarship of up to £2,000 per year, and outstanding international students will receive a scholarship of £4,000 per year.
