Staffordshire University’s mission is to connect talent with opportunity. Through next-level teaching, personalised learning, and hands-on and immersive experiences, our students are given all the support they need to achieve real success. They also benefit from unique connections into industry.
We have campuses in Stoke-on-Trent, Stafford and London and offer a wide selection of undergraduate courses. The university is ranked number 1 in the UK – and 7th in the world – for game design and development (Rookies Global School Rankings 2023).
We’re also nationally renowned for a range of other subjects, including criminology, fashion, product design, and children’s nursing. In 2023, we were ranked 2nd in the UK for quality education (Sustainable Development Goal 4, THE Impact Rankings).
Our main campus is in Stoke-on-Trent, a friendly, creative city in the heart of England. It’s next to a mainline train station and within walking distance of the city centre’s shops, restaurants and bars.
In Stafford, we have our specialist healthcare campus. And our London campus – based on the site of the 2012 Olympics – builds on our leading reputation for games, computing and tech.
Across all courses, there’s a strong focus on digital innovation and simulation-based learning. Our simulation facilities include mock courtrooms, forensic investigation areas and hospital wards, where students can practise their skills in real-world environments.
Employability is also embedded within the curriculum and every undergraduate has access to work experience opportunities. Many students also work on innovation projects with companies or market their skills as consultants.
It’s a key reason why Staffordshire University is ranked in the UK top 10 for career prospects (Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2023).
