I have loved my experience at Swansea, and have no plan on leaving any time soon. Despite the challenges and difficulties along the way, coming to Swansea as an undergraduate was the best decision I have ever made.

On the whole, the facilities are great. Although, I do feel that money is often apportioned in the wrong way, funding unnecessary efforts whilst real opportunities and needs are bypassed. The full range of services offered at Swansea is also poorly documented and accessible.

If you know where to go, the support can be fantastic, but it is hit and miss as to finding that right place. There is, however, I feel a considerable lack (or at least the notion of one) of support for those people who cannot be placed into a catagory. For example, a student who has been subject to sexual abuse, but not under the typical scenarios that are catered for.

The public profile of the students' union is still disappointingly megre, despite the best efforts of the officers and staff alike. More work into changing the mindset of the student body is needed, to highlight the great work that the union does behind the scenes. As an entity, it still appears out of reach to many students.

I am no longer involved in societies as they are so catered for undergraduate students. I know very few postgraduates who are still involved in societies, as they were as undergraduates. However, as an undergraduate, the breadth of, and opportunites to join societies at Swansea cannot be faulted.

Of the few lecturers that this applies to, I very much feel that they genuinely have my best interests at heart. Freedom to chose your own direction of study, where appropriate is another highlight.

Not particularly well. Finding enough time and opportunity to gain the vital experience required in industry is difficult. The careers team have the potential to be very helpful, if it wasn't for the overwhelming majority of students openly treating them like they're a joke. Although I am aware that this isn't entirely the fault of the university, more emphasis needs to be placed on their importance.
