Loved every second I've had at Lboro. Make sure you bring a bike to get around campus, but if you've got one, don't worry about living far away from where your lectures are, everything is within 10mins. Being able to use the facilities they have here is an opportunity that I have been very grateful for, and if you're interested in sports at all, there's no need to look anywhere else

Very close to town with most major supermarkets, a good number of pubs, a few restaurants, and 3 nightclubs (inc. the students Union). Centre of town is a 10min walk from the university

Transferrable skills are pointed out in lectures and modules, CV workshops are timetabled and have been very useful

I like the aspect of it being a close-knit community and that the campus is close to the town. It’s a really good place to study as there are a lot cafes and locations to go to but the price of food on campus is extortionate so that’s the only bad thing I would say.

Our course is all in person, we have no content taught online. We have lots of labs and tutorials that are well taught and we learn a lot more from them than having lectures as it is hands on. We have about 15 hours of contact time weekly and as there are not many people on the course everyone knows each other and gets along well.

Our hall was in a good location for me as it was close to west park - where all my lectures and labs are, however for some it was probably inconvenient as it isn’t close to the students Union. It is quite far away from town too but if you get the bus it isn’t too bad. The hall committee was great too, we had lots of events and different types of socials which were really enjoyable and were all really planned out. The community within the halls was great too and everyone basically knew each other and got along really well. The staff that cleaned our halls were really good too and also really nice.
