The city is incredible, so vibrant and alive, there's a huge student community and you can find new and exciting things to do every day. My course is well organised and interesting, the neuroscience department is always encouraging us to push to understand cutting edge research, I've had my assumptions about the brain completely blown out of the water multiple times on the course. Student support could be better, as could cohesion between tutors, the quality of tutorials has been very varied year on year. Some modules are very clear about what they expect, but a couple have been very vague.

Love my lectures, they're always extremely interesting and a lot of effort is put in by lecturers. There are check ins with my academic advisor often and tutorials weekly. I've really enjoyed tutorial essays as I've been given a lot of freedom to explore aspects of neuroscience that interest me. There could be more contact time, I think infrequent seminars could really bolster understanding of complex topics.

Pretty rundown and quite a few pest infestations. But extremely fun, very social, well situated as close to other halls, social events are nearby, lots of societies meet nearby. In Fallowfield, a fun part of the city and good links to town and uni.

My academic tutor is lovely, very approachable, people from my faculty's support office are also always helpful

I don't really use anything from SU, never benefited from them but they seem okay

Uni is almost in the city centre, close to lots of things, shops, restaurants

Lots of societies and sports available - I do kickboxing myself

I have about 12 contact hours, if labs added then about 25, they are all very nice and competent

A lot of meetings about employability, meetings with professionals and so on

I live in private housing so it's safe and clean, the cost is typical for private student housing
