Online learning has been hard. although classes are easier to attend and support remains available for students, I find it better to have these interactions and environment to be far easier for mindsetting and learning.

Online serviced such as library search remains available thought books tend to run out with only a few book available to rent. Facilities like libraries also remains open to those who widh to study within university grounds.

Online office hours are available for student to drop in to ask module leaders any queries regarding the course or for support. I find this quite helpful as communication is still possible outside of teaching hours. Online learning has been challenging but a lot easier to attend due to lectures and seminars being online. But this lacks the interaction I would have liked that seems to be much more possible inside the actual lecture halls or classrooms, i finf that student engagement with teachers and their peers is almost nonexistent in some classes and people, when split into breakout groups for discussion for example, tend to stay quiet and just not contribute at all. The absence of such interaction and engagement could be caused by the fact that cameras are not made a requirement to be turned on in sessions so people find it easier to do things at their will as their faces are not visible to other people. Exams and in class tests seems to be unfair but generally well regulated. Most are open book exams which in experience doesnt align with usual exam arrangements in person. Students are being awarded higher marks but due to the possibility of cheating and collusion, marks are downgraded which seems fair. I find that in some modules, lecturers, module leaders and seminar tutors dont communicate as well. Some modules, although mark schemes are laid out to teachers, markers or seminar tutors who marks the student’s courseworks for example, interpret these mark schemes differently and therefore students are expected to meet such marker’s interpretation pf the mark scheme. These mark schemes are not well explained by the module leader and not well communicated to the markers so students are left confused of what is expected of them.
