I enjoy studying at the University of Warwick as there's the perfect balance of socialising (a very developed SU and a bunch of societies/ sports clubs) and focus on education. Also, the fact that it's a campus uni is very convenient and means that I'll see people I know around very regularly so I rarely feel isolated or alone which is a worry for many people applying to university. However, I do feel as though campus can be a depressing place to be, especially in the grey Winter months. Certain buildings such as the humanities building and many other buildings down library road tend to bring down my mood. Also, given that Warwick isn't in a City, there aren't many regular events/ concerts and cool places to explore after you've settled in in first year.

I enjoy that my course incorporates aspects of the general working world into some of it's modules, e.g. Engineering Business Management, Professionalism and Practice. Also, I think the regular 1 hour a week contact with our tutors is the perfect amount of time. However, these sessions are only in groups and it would be preferable if there were more 1-on-1 sessions to ask for help if you're struggling with something course related. I do generally enjoy the course content/ hours but I would prefer if there were some more mandatory workshop hours and exam question revision sessions as I personally find individual study difficult in terms of motivation

My accommodation was a good match for me as I wanted to be very sociable in first year and rootes definitely helped with that. Also the proximity to central campus (2 minute walk) was very convenient. Also the maintenance of the buildings was very good and any problems we had would be fixed promptly. However, Rootes did have some problems with rats and the building can feel clostrophobic at times. It's general aesthetic is also quite dreary and outdated
