Bangor is gorgeous! The location is perfect for a student who's looking to explore somewhere new - from everything coastal to mountainous. Although, it is a small and quiet city. The atmosphere is not always the best but the scenery and activities are so worth it. Some of the facilities are great (the pontio has loads to do and is a very modern building). However, the library(s) is very small and not the best 'study' atmosphere, for me anyway. Bangor is a relatively small university though, so it seems that they do not have the funds for facility enhancements, but what the lack in facilities they make up for in student support and assistance.

Bangor University excels in supporting their students - and so lecturers and tutors are always available and very approachable. The department I work in is very involved in the sports sciences field, especially sport psychophysiology. The literature produced from BU is very impressive. I feel that my lecturing experience could be improved. This is due to COVID guidance etc. and some students preferred online teaching, meaning classes were smaller and somewhat less enjoyable. When classes had to be online, lecturers were good at trying to make this teaching time accessible and enjoyable for all. Personally, however, I found it difficult to engage in.
