I love the practical side of the course

The physiotherapy lecturers are all experts in their field and share their current clinical and research findings as part of our learning to provide us with the most up to date knowledge and ensure that we're ready to become future leaders in evidence-based practice. The extracurricular activities at Southampton are so diverse and numerous, everyday there are multiple events, talks and societies to take part in. No two days are the same and I constantly feel inspired to learn more, experience new things and become the best I can be.

Most of our content is in-class including all practicals, but some lectures are pre-recorded online. I prefer this approach as it means I come to practical class well prepared and then make the most of contact time with our lecturers to engage and ask questions. The course is quite full on, but the content is structured so that all our knowledge comes together well during the second semester when we start tackling case studies and interacting with our first patients. Lecturers are always happy to answer any questions either in-class or via email and never make any question feel stupid.
