I have enjoyed my university experience now being a year 2 student, this is because i understand my course and feel comfortable with my peers. I am starting to understand content being covered in class and how that relates to the fashion industry as a whole.

I would say my university feels like more like an office than a university, but that is simply because of the location that it is in. But also I think there could be greater facilities to bring people closer together and not feel so segregated.

I dont feel the support and feedback offered is entirely helpful, can be quite vague and not explain why a student received a certain grade. Greater clarity needed

There are posters and emails about the students union, and the importance of voting for a student rep, however I am unaware of the individuals and despite the emails put out, it doesnt go into heavy detail and so I don't think a lot of people participate.

Yes, the university I attend is near central and so have access to many restaurants, shops and more. Also if there is something not available within the area, there are good transportation links to get you around the city. However it is always crowded and busy, and having lunch in the city isn't the cheapest option, so it is important to be aware of how much is spent in a given day to day basis.

We have a fairly large society/ sports option, I myself have joined volleyball and yoga in my first year, however have no considered others. I think it an important part of the university experience, as it allows you to meet other people from different courses and network.

Some lectures I find lack engagement, and could have a greater connection with the student. I would appreciate greater enthusiasm for certain topics, and both looking at theory and how that applies in the real world context to better grasp what is being said.

The university is heavily focused in employability, both outside of lectures and seminars but also within. We get people from the industry and those you wouldn't typically think of, come in and give talks about the opportunities and how we can take part. Also there is the option to take part in dips, which is a year in industry doing an internship in our chosen field, which gives us the tools and experience for when we graduate university.
