Facilities are clean and well-kept, easy to get around the university and around the city with the Unibus, teaching is of a high standard, various places to eat and drink within the university campus The only potential improvement is that it can be difficult to make notes on slides and listen to lecturers simultaneously, especially when there is a lot of information to process

Taught very well in person which is beneficial, especially when it comes to practicals and you can gain more of an understanding and a visualisation of things. Course hours are good and contact with lecturers is also good.

Good value for money, the only thing was the internet which was struggling to work occasionally for the first week or two but other than that everything has been spot on.

Fantastic emphasis on employment and professionalism. In a time of unemployment it's nice to have the support of the uni in terms of aiding our development as well as constantly providing employment and qualification opportunities such as the outdoor skills well which allowed us to complete NGB awards for a discounted price from the uni. The uni is friendly and has a great online system containing all the information you could want on each module and assignment, as well as importantly being easily accessible and usable.

The dome is a fantastic facility having a great range of books in the library as well as plenty of study rooms and study options. The bistro cafe is also a great bonus selling nice decent priced food. Overall a nice place to study. Oak lands manor for the outdoor students such as myself is a fantastic place to learn having the high ropes just across the road.

Although only seen my personal tutor once it was good and helpful with them checking up on you, however it would be nice to see them more often.

Always trying to get people involved in activities and organising great events such as freshers fair, and clubs such as kayaking.

Being a town Buxton does not have many night clubs or night life. However it is a lovely town with nice shops and walks in the countryside nearby.

Being a part of the outdoor club and kayak club has already got me introduced to many people and ensuring I have a fun experience whilst socialising at the same time. Lots of opportunities available and never boring.

Good lectures however could be there more for the money we pay.

Great overall emphasis on job prospects with chances of employment posted constantly, I myself working for a company through the uni.

Good rooms if not a little small, as well as the kitchens being small for the amount of people sharing. Often felt cold whilst waiting until 4pm for the heating to come on, which in the winter means a very cold room. On the higher price range, however overall an average experience.
