The best part about studying engineering at Canterbury Christ Church University is the intimate nature of the classes. All sessions are small seminars for group work, where you can readily ask your lecturer anything. You don’t have to wait in a hall of 300 students with your hand up, just to be ignored like you would in many institutions. The new Verena Holmes facilities are incredible! All the labs and engineering workshops are amazing and often have better specifications than that of those in industry. The spaces are designed perfectly for teaching and learning, as well as for your own research and design time. Furthermore, student support is excellent. I am always able to contact my lecturers when I need to and receive a quick reply. Student feedback is also encouraged and readily accepted, with it being taken on board and actions being taken to improve the student experience.

Firstly the reason why it is a great place to study is because the staff there are extremely helpful, kind and understanding be it the lecturers, security, cleaners and everyone working there. Another thing is the institution provides many opportunities by having programs for students to participate and also if students need help regarding anything, there is a specific team or person who they can consult to and get the support they need like for example, mental well being team or peer tutors and many more. The university has really wide range of facilities for students to use which are advantageous and also it's all properly maintained. For the worst aspects, I honestly do not have anything to say about that because so far in my current first semester of my first year, I haven't experience any of that.

My course is mostly taught in classes and I prefer that as i understand better. However, there was one time where we did our lessons online and the lecturer was very engaging and kept asking us questions to see if we were on track. The lecturer provided any sort of ways to help students who were struggling . I am very appreciative of the fact that my lecturers keep trying to interact with us to make sure we are all okay and that we are understanding whatever we are learning in our course . There isn't any worst aspects so far in my course but I did struggle once in submitting an assignment on time as I was unable to manage my time. Fortunately my school has this system where students can apply for extensions and I used it which helped me a lot in being able to complete and submit my work without having to face the penalty of getting marks deducted
