So far my university experience has been great, I have been taught a lot on a broad range of topics, had great experiences in the classroom and out in the field. I have learnt a lot about myself, made a lot of friends, and definitely a lot about my discipline. The tutors are great, very enthusiastic and willing to help. If you put in effort you get a lot back.

The facilities are very good. It s very well kept and I am never in need of anything really. They are also always improving them which is nice

The academic support is fantastic. The counselling is less fantastic, it is hard to get and not very good when you do.

Very poor students union really, just put on social events which are not really the best.

It is a little bit out of the way but not to an extent that makes life difficult. Generally it is a good local life

There is a lack of good societies here in Dumfries, it is getting better and they are open to change, but generally its just the rowing club

What I like most is the small class sizes and relaxed nature. Some disadvantages are that there is not a lot of choice.

There are a lot of events and courses to increase employability, they are very good at that

It is very safe and nice. The rent here is only £280 so that is very affordable. It is only a 40 minute walk (or 20 minute cycle) to uni so that is also nice. It is a pretty safe neighborhood and the neighbors are nice. Cant complain really!
