Its been really good. I struggled at points with various challenges due to moving out and living with people from different backgrounds, but its been a great start.

The Pilkington Library, STEM lab and other school buildings are amazing places to study in! However, the students union, whilst it may have been recently refurbished, it could do with more work. Quite a few areas in the LSU aren't necessarily fit for getting work done. Despite this, the LSU is a great place to socialise and Loughborough University really do provide great nights out! The Medical Centre on campus is pretty awful - have a look at the reviews on google for it. On top of this, the bus that runs through campus and takes students to town is ridiculously priced. The price is the same wherever you get off in Loughborough town all the way up to the train station. It honestly, makes the TfL look cheap! The food they provide in catered hall accommodation is not brilliant at Loughborough University. So I would recommend you apply to self-catered halls.

As of 2022 March, most learning is in-person. However, there are cases such as guest speakers who give online talks due to distance. I think my school (ABCE) has done a perfect blend of in-person and online teaching for semester 2. Furthermore, contact hours are perfectly fit, depending on what year a student is in. For example there were a lot of contact for first and second year students. Whilst, contact hours are considerably less for third and fourth year students.

The bus from campus to town is £2.10 regardless of where you get off in town. There should be a price variation per stop, but there isn't. This makes TfL look cheap as the number of stops the bus goes through is not that many.

Catered hall accommodation is fairly old, so a lot of things are becoming broken and require repair in the halls. The food doesn't taste brilliant, so I would recommend people to apply to self-catered halls if you can.
