I doubt there's a better location for a uni if you have a more rural desire than big urban environment, although bangor city is big enough and has enough night life to keep u occupied its the mountains and forests and lakes you're coming for. Snowdonia is beautiful and the food just tastes better than back home in England. The actual university has its ups and downs but overall I feel my time here is positive and I doubt I could have been happier at another uni. Some lecturers are not as good as others but that's just life and for the most part the competency is very high. Covid triggered a pretty bad depression for me and I struggled ALOT in second year to the point of being hospitalised, im now in 3rd year and just had my first support session with the university mental health advisors and they provided some useful coping methods and pushed me to help myself by joining the walk and talk groups. And connect meetings in pontio. The students Union is excellent and the societies im sure would have been amazing but with lockdowns we couldn't continue with any of them in second year and because of that I never got back into it. I genuinely believe my experience at uni would have Been far superior without covid but we can't change the hands we're dealt and I believe the uni provided for the students to the best of their ability. Overall it was less than the uni experience id dreamed of but better than the reality of uni life for most of my friends from 6th form. Overall 6/10 but without covid that would probably have been an 8-9/10.

Never got to use the boat when all I want Is to work on a boat so thats annoying. And I truly believed they could have orchestrated a way for students to get a chance even with social distancing in effect, possibly reserving a place on the boat weeks in advance so everyone gets a slot and an experience. My tutor was non existent for years yes literal years and my placement is likely going to be unpaid and possibly online depending on new covid variants or war in Europe.

Bangor university has everything you need to perform greatly. The environment is study friendly. Lecturer have a great way of passing knowledge.

I like everything about my course, timing, lecture room, online classes and lectures patterns.

Everything in this hall is beautiful. And I have the most amazing flat mates. Internet is awesome. Well furnished.
